The naval battalion of the German Navy protects the units of the navy, its facilities and assigned objects on land, in the area of ​​ports as well as on the high seas. Since time is a decisive factor in the planning and execution of many missions, the soldiers searched for a wristwatch, which is precisely tailored to their requirements. The operational forces of the future naval battalion (or today's marines) already knew the SAR Flieger-Chronograph, which is on board with the Navy rescue flights. For this reason, they asked Mill-Glashütte: Together they wanted to develop a timepiece which is solid and shock-proof enough for every mission, guarantees an exact time display by day and night and combines the best wearing characteristics with optimum functionality.

Mill-Glashütte was the first choice for the basic requirements of reliability and resistance in use. In the Seebataillon GMT, a six-ply mill-clock movement with internal rotor, patented Spechthals regulation with matching balance cock and 42 hours of gear reserve is used. Particular importance is attached to this timepiece of the fine regulation of mill. Thanks to this, this work is just as shock-resistant as it is to be precisely regulated. In addition, the automatic system also offers

This timepiece has to withstand a lot - while ensuring the freedom of movement of the wrist and a high wearing comfort. This is ensured by the use of titanium in combination with proven mill equipment features such as the crown placement at four o'clock. The shell made of titanium makes the Seebataillon GMT particularly resistant and despite its size is only minimal. A high wearing comfort meets extreme ruggedness - against all elements. Thanks to a compressive strength of 30 bar, this timepiece is also suitable for missions to water. With these equipment features, this timepiece fits perfectly into the powerful equipment of the specialized forces of this marine unit.
